Call for sessions

The i-Society 2006 ‘Special sessions’ submission deadline is 5 May 2006.

Special session proposal

Proposals for special sessions are invited from both industry and academia. Proposals should include:

Title of the special session
Brief description of your special session (1 paragraph)
Brief biography of special session organiser (1 paragraph)
Preferred email address for receiving paper submissions

The special session organiser may use the i-Society 2006 website to call for paper submissions. When a proposal is accepted, the special session organiser will be informed of the designated web-link. The organiser’s name will appear in the conference program as ‘Special session organiser’. Additionally, each Special Session Organiser will receive an honorarium. Papers submitted to the special session must be received by 29 May 2006. A minimum of five papers must be registered and registration fee must be paid by June 2006 in order for this session to be included in the conference program.

Special session submissions

Session paper submission

A Special session must include a minimum of 5 papers.
All papers for the special session will be submitted directly to the organiser. No special session papers are to be submitted through the i-Society 2006 website.

Session paper review and selection

The special session organiser will write his/her call for paper and responsible for following:

Session paper review (each paper should be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers)
Final selection of papers for the session;
Notification of paper acceptance/rejection and sending review comments to authors;
Providing the list of accepted papers to the i-Society by 1 June 2006. The i-Society 2006 will then email official invitation letters and registration information to the authors.

Author(s) of accepted papers for the special session are required to register and provide full payment before the conference registration deadline (15 June 2006).

All final papers must be received by the conference final submission deadline and must adhere to the i-society 2006 final paper formatting requirements.

The special session organiser will act as chair of the special session at the conference.
